We are seeking a skilled Adult Behavioral Health Registered Nurse to join our team at Riverview Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Gadsden, Alabama.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working 12-hour shifts in our Geriatric Behavior Health Unit. As a Behavioral Health RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, educating patients and their families about mental and medical conditions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary treatment teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Responsibilities- Treating patients with compassion and respect
- Providing emotional support and guidance to patients and their families
- Running therapeutic groups and participating in psychiatric crisis intervention
- Recording patient medical histories and symptoms, and analyzing diagnostic test results
- Administering treatment and medications, and helping with patient follow-up and rehabilitation
- Current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming, and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units
