Dermatologist Opportunity in Greenville, NC

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Dermatologist to join our team at the Department of Veteran Affairs in Greenville, North Carolina. As a key member of our VA Dermatology Section, you will be responsible for providing expert consultation and treatment to patients in the outpatient Dermatology Clinic.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with dermatological conditions in the outpatient setting.
- Complete documentation and coding of visits accurately and in a timely manner.
- Evaluate, triage, and prioritize Dermatology consult requests to ensure timely care for patients.
- Perform excisional or diagnostic skin biopsies and minor skin surgeries.
- Review images from store and forward telehealth program to make treatment recommendations or determine urgency of need for face-to-face evaluation.
- Perform administrative tasks as assigned, such as peer reviews, Compensation and Pension evaluations, and Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluations (OPPE).
- Coordinate care at VA or non-VA referral centers for patients requiring services not provided at the facility.
- Attend staff meetings and serve on committees, process improvement teams, and workgroups as requested.
- Complete CME as required to maintain competency in Dermatology and medical licensure.
- Complete HIPAA, Privacy and Security, and other mandatory VA training in a timely manner.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
