About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing intraoperative care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in preparing for surgical procedures by reviewing procedure cards and surgeon preference cards.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to set up the operating room with proper instrumentation, equipment, and supplies.
  • Pass instruments and retract for the surgeon at the sterile field as directed.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures and provide them with the necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist in the care, cleaning, and maintenance of instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the circulating nurse to ensure accurate sponge, sharps, and instrument counts.
  • Apply the principles of asepsis to maintain the integrity of the sterile field.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent experience.
  • Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist required.
  • ST certification required in accordance with Massachusetts State Law.
