Climbing Gym Janitor

We're a community-driven company that owns and operates 16 unique climbing gyms across California. Our mission is to provide a welcoming environment for climbers of all levels, from beginners to experienced athletes.

We're seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Staff member to join our team. As a Janitorial Staff member, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our gyms, ensuring a positive experience for our members.

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming gym and climbing area floors.
• Clean and disinfect gym equipment, machines, and weights to maintain a high level of hygiene and prevent the spread of germs.
• Clean and sanitize locker rooms, showers, and restrooms, replenishing supplies as needed.
• Empty trash receptacles regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste materials.
• Wipe and sanitize surfaces, including windows, mirrors, and countertops.
• Dust and clean surfaces in common areas, including reception desks and waiting areas.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the supervisor.
• Respond to immediate cleaning needs and spillages to prevent accidents or injuries.

• Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.

This is a full-time position, working at least 30 hours per week. You will be required to work varied shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, to ensure continuous cleanliness of the facility.

Starting pay is $18.50 per hour. Compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors, including facility location and type, membership volume, experience, and job tenure.
