Job Opportunity

University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a skilled Sonographer to join our dynamic team. As a Sonographer, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform abdominal/breast ultrasound techniques and examinations according to established protocols.
  • Assist with minor surgical procedures, such as cyst aspirations and biopsies.
  • Modify protocols to optimize each scan and best serve patient needs.
  • Consistently demonstrate technical proficiency in producing diagnostic breast scans and abdominal images.
  • Prepare examinations for interpretation by the Radiologist, including correct identification, adequate clinical history, and proper documentation of preliminary findings.
  • Provide preliminary assessment and analysis of ultrasound exams.
  • Identify breast pathology on all ultrasound exams.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures.
  • Participate in teaching and mentoring of ultrasound students.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
  • Registered Vascular Sonographer and credentialed in one or more of the following: Abdomen, Breast, and/or Ob/Gyn.
  • Minimum of one year experience.
  • Proficient in real-time, color flow, doppler, transvaginal, biopsies, interventional procedures.
