Key Responsibilities- Admitting and rounding on patients daily; average daily census: 2-4 pediatric patients, 8-10 newborns
- Management of newborns in level 1 nursery (close relationships with NICU facilities nearby)
- Attend high-risk deliveries
- Perform procedures, including circumcision, intubation, lumbar puncture
- Consultations in Emergency Room
The Pediatric Hospitalist Team, which includes three physicians and two advanced practitioners, provides coverage for inpatient pediatrics and the newborn nursery at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital, St. Joseph.
