Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of security systems and recording devices to guarantee compliance.
  • Maintain essential records and documentation as mandated by law, generating necessary reports for compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Assist in crafting and executing training programs for facility staff.
  • Work closely with department leaders and subject matter experts to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and various forms as part of a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Oversee the deployment of quality initiatives and compliance-related policies across operational units.
  • Document all updates in training manuals and SOPs.
  • Conduct periodic assessments to ensure adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Engage in the refinement of quality procedures and validation of processes.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues impacting product quality or compliance.
  • Establish and uphold quality assurance standards, providing technical insights in production and packaging.
  • Monitor the vendor approval process for incoming products, perform risk assessments, and conduct supplier evaluations.
  • Manage all third-party quality assurance testing for product batches and cultivate relationships with testing laboratories.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; undergraduate degree required.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience; background in cannabis regulatory compliance or legal sectors is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of state and local cannabis regulations.
  • Experience in drafting and training staff on SOP implementation.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Excel; experience with QMS is advantageous.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and capable of passing a background check.
  • Adherence to all legal and company regulations within the industry is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and lead projects, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the aptitude to evaluate critical information, make informed recommendations, and resolve issues.
  • Detail-oriented with proficient legal writing skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying regulations clearly at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Foster a culture of quality and change management by empowering team members and colleagues.
