As a Healthcare Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing healthcare operations, ensuring that our patients receive high-quality care. You will lead the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice.
You will effectively delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members, assuming accountability for quality patient outcomes. You will also exhibit sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions, maintaining involvement in activities aimed toward the achievement of unit and departmental strategic goals and objectives.
To succeed in this role, you should have strong leadership skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and excellent communication skills. A Registered nurse diploma is required, with an Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice is required, along with current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Certification in clinical specialty area is preferred.
The physical demands of this role include heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent works in a patient care area, exposing them to blood, body fluid, and tissue, with an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
