Position Overview:
The Biomedical Technician - Clinical Engineer plays a crucial role in maintaining and supporting medical electronic devices within healthcare settings. This position is essential for ensuring the reliability and safety of biomedical equipment used in patient care.

Educational Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
  • Preferred certification as a Clinical Engineer.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in electronics is required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on various electronic medical devices.
  • Develop and implement procedures for inspections, calibrations, adjustments, lubrication, and necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of equipment repairs and perform testing on new and refurbished devices prior to deployment.
  • Keep accurate records of equipment histories, service manuals, and system layout diagrams.
  • Respond to service calls and fulfill work orders for equipment repairs.
  • Oversee the inventory of biomedical equipment and necessary parts to support patient care.
  • Provide technical assistance for new equipment and evaluate work performed by external vendors.
  • Stay informed about advancements in biomedical equipment technology.
  • Troubleshoot and repair nurse call systems as needed.
