Job Summary

Assists with the planning, coordination, and administration of general accounting activities of the organization.

Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed acute care hospital, 81-bed Behavioral Health facility, and more than 70 primary and specialty care providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepares general ledger entries in conjunction with the monthly closing process.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts and takes actions necessary to resolve any variances and clear understanding items.
  • Ensures departmental and organizational compliance with current accounting standards, hospital policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Completes projects and tasks, under the direction of the Accounting Manager and Assistant CFO, in order to assure assets are safeguarded and financial statements are fairly stated in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintains the fixed asset system, processing asset additions, changes, retirements, and disposals.
  • Assists with the annual Medicare cost report package.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or applicable field required.
  • 1-2 years accounting experience preferred.
