LifeShare is in search of a Logistics Transport Specialist to join our materials management team within our Central Supply warehouse. The Logistics Transport Specialist will be responsible for operating a company vehicle to convey materials and supplies between Central Supply and various work locations, ensuring seamless business operations and maintaining a safe supply of blood for our communities in critical times.

The Logistics Transport Specialist may handle, secure, distribute, and deliver inter-office correspondence, supplies, or blood products on a daily basis, adhering to all company policies, procedures, and state driving regulations. Additionally, the specialist may perform basic routine maintenance and servicing of vehicles as necessary to guarantee safe operation.

Since its inception in 1942, LifeShare has been dedicated to operating blood centers that facilitate generous donors sharing the Gift of Life. Today, we supply blood components to medical facilities across Louisiana, east Texas, and south Arkansas, continuously striving for excellence to achieve and uphold the highest levels of service for both donors and patients. Our pioneering work in rare blood trait identification has established LifeShare as a leader in providing rare blood components to patients on a national and international scale.

Compensation: Starting rate of pay is $ /hr., based on experience. LifeShare provides a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid medical, life, and disability insurance; employer base retirement contributions and matching contributions to the retirement plan, as well as paid time off.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Minimum age of 25 with at least 5 years of driving experience
  • No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
  • No DUI/DWI convictions in the past 10 years

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift equipment, boxes, and supplies up to 50 lbs., unassisted.
  • Capability to perform duties requiring prolonged sitting and driving of motor vehicles.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, often exceeding 8 hours per day, including weekends.
  • Potential exposure to infectious diseases from blood and blood products during transportation.
