We are seeking a qualified Substitute Registered Nurse to join our team at Addison Central School District.

Job Summary

The Substitute Registered Nurse will provide professional nursing services to students and employees, including health appraisal, follow-through, and communicable disease control. The ideal candidate will have a current R.N. license and experience working in a school district.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in physical, visual, and auditory screening examinations of students and employees
  • Administer first aid and emergency treatment to students and employees
  • Prepare, maintain, and interpret health records for school authorities, teachers, and parents
  • Arrange transportation for sick or injured students or employees to hospital, home, doctor's or dentist's office in emergency situations
  • Report on general safety and sanitary conditions
  • Consult with attendance teachers and staff members on health factors related to non-attendance and communicable disease
  • Prepare records and reports as required
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

  • Hold a graduation from a school of nursing registered by the State Education Department
  • Possess a NYS License as a Registered Professional Nurse
  • Have one year full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience as a Registered Professional Nurse in a healthcare facility
