Phoenix Rising Recovery is seeking a Licensed Therapist to join our team at our residential mental health treatment center in Palm Desert.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to discuss effective coping skills and assist clients in identifying the reasons for their addiction and overcoming the problems related to the addiction.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client psychosocial assessments, develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, and carry out client intake processes.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, including the clinical director, program director, and counselors.
  • Identify patients' negative behaviors and assist residents in living more effectively with their addictions.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of patient care through charting and documenting resident progress and provide service referrals when needed.
  • Review patient analysis, random drug tests, and facilitate therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited marriage and family therapy or psychology program.
  • Registration with the State of California Board of Behavioral Health as a registered associate with a number.
  • Experience working with primary mental health or an acute psychiatric population preferred.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced setting, under pressure, and maintain open and proper communication.
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients or employees of an organization.
