Purpose:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality Physical Therapy services to our residents. Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, you will assist in the assessment, treatment, and program planning and implementation of Physical Therapy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the selection of Physical Therapy techniques and media, and in the sequence of activities.
  • Adapt techniques and media as indicated by resident performance and consultation with the Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain acceptable resident care ratios as determined by the Physical Therapist.
  • Consistently demonstrate sound judgment in the evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up of resident therapy programs.
  • Assist with and participate in Continuous Quality Improvement programs as required.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to carry out treatment plans as designed by the supervising therapist.
  • Ability to document daily care as per established guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively communicate the response to treatment intervention to residents, family, and other team members.
