Role Summary and QualificationsAs an Inpatient Psychiatric (Behavioral Health) Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients with psychiatric conditions. The four Psychiatric units include Adult, Senior Adult, Adolescent, and Women's.
Responsibilities in this role:
You will continuously seek methods to enhance patient care.
You will demonstrate knowledge of regulatory laws related to the care of mentally ill patients.
You will primarily be assigned to one unit while also being cross-trained to the other three psychiatric units, with the expectation to float as necessary.
You will utilize basic physical assessment skills and demonstrate the ability to care for patients with co-existing psychiatric diagnoses.
Required Qualifications:
Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or an active multistate Registered Nurse license.
BLS – Healthcare provider certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
CPI certification within three months of hire and re-certification annually thereafter.
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
One year of acute care experience and one year of inpatient behavioral health experience preferred.
