Position Summary:
We are looking for an Industrial Control Systems Engineer to join our team in Maple Grove. This role involves the design and development of industrial control panels, wiring schematics, and ladder logic configurations. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing electrical systems, including PLC programming and testing, while working closely with sales and engineering teams to fulfill client specifications. Additionally, the engineer will oversee the development of prototypes and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and troubleshoot electrical control systems and panels.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical equipment.
- Draft installation guidelines and specify material requirements.
- Utilize 2D CAD for wiring diagrams and ladder logic designs.
- Program and conduct tests on PLCs for diverse applications.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Associate Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum Experience: 2-3 years in electrical or a related field.
- Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree.
- Preferred Experience: 5 years in electrical engineering, especially in industrial control design and PLCs.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with electronics, sensors, and various signal types.
- Proficient in AutoCAD LT and MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Knowledge of UL508A, NFPA70, and IEC standards.
- Capability to design and interpret ladder logic diagrams.
