We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist to join our team at Magnet Medical in Dallas, Texas.

About the Job

This is a 13-week travel assignment with a guaranteed 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts. The salary for this position is estimated at $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Summary

A Cardiovascular Intervention Specialist (CVIS) works closely with cardiologists and other medical professionals to perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiac catheterization lab (cath lab). This includes preparing patients, setting up equipment, and assisting during procedures such as angiograms, stent placements, and electrophysiological studies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the cath lab environment for procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and tools are sterile, functional, and properly set up.
  • Verify patient information, including medical history, allergies, and consent forms, before the procedure begins.
  • Assist in the preparation of patients, including setting up monitoring equipment and ensuring proper positioning for optimal procedure results.
  • Provide patient education and reassurance before the procedure, explaining what will happen and answering any questions.
Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in cardiovascular technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A degree in a related field and relevant certifications, such as ACLS or BLS, are highly desirable.
