We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Service Technician to join our team at Signature Health. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform environmental services duties in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to quality standards and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection of offices, patient/resident rooms, classrooms, common areas, restrooms, halls, food service areas, and other assigned areas.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring proper labeling and organization of storage rooms.
  • Use cleaning chemicals safely and effectively, following manufacturer standards and guidelines.
  • Empty trash and garbage containers, transport waste to outside containers, and replenish supplies as needed.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings, training, and hazard assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Apply OSHA and local safety requirements to all assigned work, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in janitorial cleaning in a commercial environment required.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
Working Conditions
  • Flexibility to work evenings/weekends and extended hours may be required.
  • Requires periods of sitting, standing, telephone, and computer work.
  • Hearing and speaking abilities adequate to perform job duties.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds, unassisted.
  • Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens while performing job duties.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements, standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some lifting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular workday.
