Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

At UChicago Medicine AdventHealth GlenOaks, we are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. Your expertise will be essential in preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately, and producing high-quality cross-sectional images of the body.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and positions patients for magnetic resonance imaging procedures
  • Selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce high-quality images
  • Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media, and develops film in an automatic processor
  • Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements:
  • Two-year allied health program preferred
  • Previous experience in diagnostic imaging preferred
  • BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) preferred
