The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and coordinating all functions within the unit during the designated shift.
In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to support an exceptional patient experience and clinical outcomes.
The CNC assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
Engagement in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services is essential, in collaboration with other management team members.
The CNC supports facility engagement efforts by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding and hourly rounds.
Recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff are part of the CNC's responsibilities.
Additionally, the CNC recommends and implements actions related to training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions to ensure a competitive organization.
Staff scheduling management is also a key duty, ensuring alignment with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Support for proper inventory control and assistance with managing supplies and equipment are also included in the role.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a minimum of two years of acute care experience as an Operating Room (OR) RN.
