Costume Artisan

At Knott's Berry Farm, we're seeking a skilled Costume Builder to join our team. As a key member of our entertainment department, you'll be responsible for creating employee costumes for our shows and attractions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and construct costumes for various park productions, including summer and Haunt shows
• Work with a range of fabrics and materials to bring creative ideas to life
• Collaborate with senior costume builders and entertainment management to ensure costumes meet production needs
• Exclusively handle costume building for Peanuts characters
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace
• Perform duties as a dresser in entertainment venues as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum requirements including education, licenses, and skills
• Ability to work on feet for an entire eight-hour shift
• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines, overlock, roll edge hemmer, commercial steam iron, and commercial laundry equipment
• Knowledge of construction of basic garments and show costuming
• Pattern drafting and fabric cutting skills
