RTP serves as a vital security risk management framework that identifies and protects both technical and programmatic information from inception to transition to mission partners. The team conducts thorough analyses to ensure the safeguarding of information and technology, thereby protecting U.S. Government, National Security, and Intelligence Community interests from unauthorized access.

Specific Duties Include:

  • Conducting system security evaluations and preparing program documentation and risk assessments to support the RTP mission.
  • Maintaining a detailed understanding of the threats facing NGA Research programs.
  • Identifying potential vulnerabilities within programs that may be susceptible to exploitation.
  • Evaluating the consequences of losing critical NGA R&D information.
  • Performing comprehensive security risk assessments for NGA's research initiatives.
  • Providing analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of proposed risk mitigation strategies.
  • Assisting in the review and establishment of security classification guidance for new concepts developed by various teams.
  • Creating tailored classification guidelines for innovative GEOINT tool development and specialized handling instructions for intelligence materials.
  • Offering expert advice on the protection of classified information, classification management, special security, industrial security, and security training.
  • Collaborating with project managers and legal teams to identify export-controlled or ITAR-restricted technologies under development.
  • Delivering briefings and support for the NGA Research workforce on evolving security policies and guidance.
  • Utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) and social network analysis to identify threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation opportunities within supply chains and research collaborations.
  • Assessing the capacity and maturity of the technology and manufacturing ecosystem to ensure the development and delivery of critical enabling technologies.

Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • TS/SCI Clearance and Polygraph necessary.
  • Experience with NGA preferred.
  • Possession of Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC).
  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC) is desirable.
  • Security Program Integration Professional Certificate (SPIPC) is a plus.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) is advantageous.
  • A Master's or PhD degree is required.
