Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team at Brown University Health. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to our patients, including administering therapeutic treatments, performing pulmonary function testing, and educating patients on respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer respiratory treatments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform pulmonary function testing and six-minute walk tests as ordered.
  • Provide education to patients on respiratory care and treatment methods.
  • Maintain equipment in a functional and sanitary condition.
  • Operate and maintain mechanical ventilators.
  • Suggest changes in respiratory care to nurses and physicians as needed.
  • Respond to emergency situations in a calm and professional manner.

Requirements:

  • Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • License in Respiratory Care by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • BLS Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registration by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • BS in Respiratory Care or related field.
  • ACLS and NPR preferred.
