About the Role

As a Senior Finance Manager at CBRE, you will lead a team responsible for producing all output associated with Finance Strategy and Operations. This includes annual budget preparation, monthly forecasts, strategic planning, management reporting, and other special projects.

This role is part of the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, responsible for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide formal supervision to employees, supervise the training and development of staff, conduct performance evaluations, and mentor.
  • Lead all aspects of the recruiting and hiring of new employees, coordinate and lead the team's daily activities, establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines, mentor and coach as needed, drive the budgeting process, forecasting process, strategic planning process, and standard management reporting.
  • Approve balance sheet account analysis, statement of cash flows, and supporting schedules, and standard consolidated reporting packs, review and approve all monthly journal entries.
  • Produce a variety of sophisticated routine and ad hoc financial reports, packages, and pro forma analyses for senior management and planning unit, implement research, development, and preparation of accounting policy and procedures.
  • Lead special projects and prepare presentations for management, exchange and explain difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle sensitive issues.
  • Influence parties of shared interests to reach agreement, lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8 years of proven experience, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and exciting performance and retention is helpful.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of critical, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational targets with impacts on own job subject area, multiple job subject areas, and department.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, extensive interpersonal skills, and an inquisitive approach.
  • Intermediate math skills, ability to calculate complicated figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
