Responsibilities:- Review medical records to ensure accurate ICD-10 coding based on CMS/HCC categories for billing purposes
- Create and submit insurance claims to various insurance companies, managing denials and appeals processes
- Process patient billing statements, reimbursement claims, and post-transaction data while maintaining accurate records
- Properly document appeals procedures according to insurance company guidelines
- Communicate effectively with insurance compliance teams regarding claim payment or rejections
- Oversee credentialing applications for doctors and hospitals, ensuring timely submission and approval
- Manage patient collections through mail or phone interactions and accurately record payments
- Collaborate with the Practice Administrator in updating licenses and distributing reports to multiple providers
- Balance copays and insurance payments for service facilities, transmitting financial reports to accountants
- Regularly review accounts for possible assignment and make recommendations to the Practice Administrator
