Coca-Cola Bottling UNITED is seeking a highly skilled Relief Merchandiser to join our team. As a Relief Merchandiser, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, building displays, and replenishing inventory in large stores.
Key Responsibilities- Relieve Merchandiser routes to ensure seamless service delivery
- Train and develop Merchandisers to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Present effective merchandising training methods to ensure consistency across all stores
- Sell and execute merchandising strategies at the store level to drive business growth
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of equipment and Company/customer assets
- Rotate and replenish products in customer outlets, including displays, racks, and all Coca-Cola and brand partner equipment
- Maintain product integrity in every account, ensuring neat and organized backstock, clean coolers and racks, and adherence to Company standards
- Collect and dispose of breakage or out-of-date products, including empty shells and pallets
- Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
- Work in partnership with Sales Supervisors and Delivery Drivers to execute the picture of success
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with all customers, providing superior customer service
- Collaborate with functional team members to achieve business objectives
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Valid driver's license required, with a commitment to maintaining compliance with UNITED fleet policy
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
- Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- Ability to maintain a neat and professional appearance within Company guidelines
- Ability to maintain the safety and security of Company assets
- Ability to utilize all Company-provided resources and technology
- Reliable vehicle required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3 to 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Frequent bending, kneeling, exposure to weather, and noise
- Ability to work a flexible or rotating schedule
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to respond and resolve customer issues
- Ability to self-motivate and perform job duties with minimal supervision
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to problem-solve
- Previous merchandising experience preferred
