Transportation Specialist

The Southwest Licking Local School District is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Transportation Specialist to transport students to and from school daily.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating a school vehicle to provide authorized transportation services while ensuring the highest level of student safety and satisfaction.

Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of defensive driving practices and the ability to deal with stressful traffic, weather conditions, and passenger distractions.

The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a school vehicle to transport students safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
• Ensure students are seated and buckled up before departing
• Communicate with students and parents regarding any issues or concerns
• Participate in regular safety drills and training sessions
