About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
  • Lead Aircraft Carrier or Submarine program Risk management and/or Knowledge management.
  • Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 5 years of relevant exempt experience; Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience; Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Above average communication skills (verbal and written) are preferred.
