About the Role

We are seeking an experienced I&C Drafter to join our team at Actalent. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality instrumentation and control drawings, data sheets, and other technical documents.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize current drafting practices and tools to complete assigned drafting tasks.
  • Assist in the development of instrumentation drawings, data sheets, I/O wiring diagrams, P&IDs, PDFs, and loop diagrams.
  • Assemble typical details as required to support Instrumentation and Control drawings.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates and material lists with project engineers or project managers' guidance.
  • Develop control panel elevation drawings.
  • Assist in quality checking of drafted product and conformance with drawing production standards and project-specific CAD/BIM requirements.
  • Provide basic technical support for 2D schematic CAD applications.
  • Develop basic SCADA block diagrams.
  • Size flow meters and meter selection.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience as a Drafter or Designer.
  • Proficient with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Understanding of the application of instrumentation controls.
  • Familiar with International Society of Automation (ISA) standards.
  • Working knowledge of water, wastewater, and infrastructure design.
  • Fundamental understanding of converting data between MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Basic understanding of fiber optic cable routing.
  • Understanding of basic network cabinets.
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the development of 2D Electrical and Instrumentation schematic drawings.
  • Working knowledge of P&ID CAD applications.
  • Working knowledge of database software.
