This role is focused on delivering comprehensive primary care and treatment to patients within a clinical or hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough physical assessments and gather detailed medical histories of patients.
2. Develop and implement medical plans and prognoses tailored to individual patient conditions.
3. Collaborate with physicians to create effective health care strategies and treatment protocols.
4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests to evaluate patient health concerns and needs.
5. Perform designated invasive procedures for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes, adhering to established competencies.
6. Initiate and recommend appropriate medical therapies and treatments in line with approved guidelines.
7. Ensure compliance with medical record-keeping standards, maintaining accurate documentation of patient interactions.
8. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
9. Provide counseling to patients and their families regarding health issues, promoting overall wellness.
10. Assess and manage care for individuals requiring urgent medical attention.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Utah.
Preferred:
- Certifications in ACLS, BLS, NRP, or ATLS may be necessary based on departmental requirements.
- Prescriptive privileges in the State of Utah.
- A Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent qualifications, along with national certification through a recognized examination.
Additional Information:
This position is sensitive to patient needs and requires adherence to immunization protocols as per CDC and institutional policies. Limited exemptions may apply for documented medical or religious reasons.
