Overview
The Logistics Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the productivity and efficiency of warehouse operations through direct management of warehouse personnel.
Key Responsibilities
The Logistics Supervisor is tasked with training, guiding, and managing all team members in this role. Responsibilities include ensuring the safe handling and loading of products into shipping containers and trailers, as well as completing all necessary documentation. Additionally, the supervisor will maintain inventory levels, operate forklifts, and conduct quality assurance checks. Effective communication of any operational issues to management is essential.
Essential Duties
This position encompasses the following functions, along with any additional tasks assigned by the current manager:
- Lead training initiatives and oversee daily logistics operations to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct ongoing safety inspections and maintain awareness of safety practices.
- Communicate company policies and procedures to team members as necessary.
- Uphold standards of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
- Address any unsafe or unsanitary conditions promptly.
- Conduct performance evaluations for team members and facilitate communication sessions.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by management and adhere to directives from supervisors.

Minimum Requirements

- Knowledge of safety practices in an industrial setting.
