Job Summary

Buckingham Browne & Nichols School is seeking a part-time Bus Driver to provide safe transportation to and from school, field trips, and other activities. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of driving experience and a valid Massachusetts State driver's license. The position requires a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, as well as a valid school bus license and DOT medical card.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe transportation to and from school, field trips, and other activities
  • Transport sports teams to and from sporting events
  • Transport faculty and staff between campuses as needed
  • Follow State and Federal traffic laws and regulations
  • Assist passengers on and off the bus as needed
  • Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and safety checks
  • Report any observed student injuries, accidents, illnesses, or discipline problems to the supervisor
Requirements
  • 2-4 years of driving experience
  • Valid Massachusetts State driver's license
  • Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
  • Valid school bus license and DOT medical card
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Good communication skills and ability to converse in English
  • Good judgment, attendance, and reliability
  • Ability to undergo a successful background check
Compensation

$32.63 per hour
