Montessori Educator

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori educator to join our team at Evergreen Academy. As a Montessori assistant teacher, you will play a vital role in creating a prepared environment that fosters student-led learning and freedom with responsibility.

This is a full-time, year-round position, Monday through Friday, with a competitive hourly rate starting at $20.00. • Support the lead teacher in creating a prepared environment that promotes student-led learning and freedom with responsibility.
• Assist with lesson planning and implementation, ensuring that activities are engaging and aligned with Montessori principles.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a smooth transition between home and school.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in Montessori education.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; early childhood education certificate or equivalent college degree preferred.
• Previous Montessori teaching experience an asset.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or less (25-50%) and occasionally carry 25-50 pounds (10-25%).
• Compliance with all state education and licensing standards and maintenance of validation of credentials for the position.
