Responsibilities As a Nurse Care Specialist, your key responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating patients/residents to collect data, observe condition, and report changes in condition.
  • Contributing to nursing assessments and care planning.
  • Administering medications and performing treatments per physician orders.
  • Supervising and monitoring patient care provided by unlicensed staff.

Qualifications To excel as a Nurse Care Specialist, you must possess the following qualifications:
  • Be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
  • Be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
  • Maintain current BLS/CPR certification if employed at a skilled nursing center or as required by the state of practice if an assisted living facility.
