Qualifications:
A graduate from an APTA accredited physical therapy program.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in clinical documentation and computer use
Basic internet navigation skills

Licenses and Certifications:
Valid state license as a physical therapist

Key Responsibilities:

Physical Therapist

Role Summary:


Deliver physical therapy and associated services to patients while fostering positive interactions with facilities and clients, adhering to the principles and practices of physical therapy and Reliant Rehabilitation guidelines.

Ensure high-quality patient care through screening and evaluation, development of initial and ongoing treatment plans, discharge planning, supervision of assistants and Rehab Techs, and case management duties.

Exhibit professional conduct that reflects Reliant Rehabilitation's commitment to quality and service in all client interactions, maintaining positive rapport with facilities and clients.

Comply with all state and federal regulations governing physical therapy.

Essential Duties and

Responsibilities:

Enhance patient functionality and skills by providing, directing, and/or overseeing physical therapy
Offer consultation and clinical supervision to PTAs.

Directly supervise PTA and Rehab Tech in skilled tasks during both group and individual treatment, promoting efficient resource utilization and facilitating ongoing clinical skill development in accordance with State Practice Acts, Omnibus Reconciliation Act (OBRA), and Reliant Rehabilitation policies.

Develop a robust physical therapy program

Advance clinical expertise, professional, and management skills through collaboration with managers, therapists, and other professionals, self-study, and various continuing education activities.

Maintain a valid state license and stay informed about relevant issues in the physical therapy profession and healthcare environment.
Understand various payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines, as well as clinically appropriate delivery methods. Provide quality care while setting reasonable goals and outcomes within established guidelines.
Adhere to infection control procedures and environmental safety protocols within facilities.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English: instructions, correspondence, charts, memos, and reports.
