Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed design packages for reactors, reactor systems, utilities, and tankage equipment, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Perform engineering calculations to determine equipment sizing, pressure drop, heat transfer requirements, and other critical parameters.
  • Collaborate with process engineers, operations, construction, HSSEQ, and other departments to modify vessel drawings, and equipment layouts, and ensure designs meet process needs and safety considerations.
  • Work with other engineering disciplines (e.g., controls, electrical) to ensure seamless integration of all system components.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in chemical process design.
  • 60% office setting/40% plant setting.
  • Strong track record building reactor systems.
  • Understanding of core engineering concepts for equipment design.
  • Proficiency in using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools like ChemCAD.
  • Knowledge of chemical equipment functionalities and limitations for selecting suitable equipment.
  • Ability to perform calculations for equipment sizing, pressure drop, and heat transfer.
