Job Description

Uncommon Schools is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School English Language Arts Teacher to join our team. As a member of our community, you will play a critical role in shaping the educational experience of our students and helping them achieve academic success.

Responsibilities
  • Instruction: Teach from a robust literature curriculum that prioritizes inclusive texts, emphasizes diversity, and prepares students for Advanced Placement (AP), SAT, and collegiate level coursework.
  • Data Analysis: Meet weekly with your principal and/or instructional coach to analyze and respond to trends in student work samples and assessments.
  • School Culture: Build positive relationships with students to ensure they feel seen, loved, and heard.

Additional Information

Uncommon Schools offers a competitive compensation package, including a starting salary between $56,000 to $77,000, depending on experience.
