About the Carpenter Position

Advanced Disaster Recovery, Inc. is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join its team of professionals in the NY/NJ/PA/CT area. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for working on construction projects, varying in size, and performing hands-on work, including basic carpentry, painting, drywall, and other related tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install wooden structures, such as roofing frames, rafters, partitions, joists, and stud work
  • Design and install cabinets, shelving, fitted furniture, drywall, and insulation
  • Add fixtures and fittings, such as door handles, locks, hinges, and closures
  • Select lumber by size and strength to suit each job, sourcing wood to meet the customer's budget and style
  • Calculate the number of fasteners required for each job
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and other construction professionals
  • Read blueprints and designs to work to specifications prepared by other construction professionals, architects, and building code recommendations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ Years of Carpentry experience
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficient with tools, measuring instruments, heavy machinery, and electrical equipment
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Physically fit with high endurance
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Adheres to best practices regarding occupational safety hazards
  • Valid driver's license in good standing
  • Satisfactory background check
