Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Main Street Children's Dentistry. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and assisting our dentists in delivering top-notch dental services.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares treatment rooms for patients by following established protocols and procedures.
• Prepares patients for dental treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating them.
• Provides information to patients and staff by answering questions and requests.
• Provides instrumentation by sterilizing and delivering instruments to the treatment area.
• Provides materials by selecting, mixing, and placing materials on instruments and in the patient's mouth.
• Provides diagnostic information by exposing and developing radiographic studies.
• Maintains patient appearance and ability to masticate by fabricating temporary restorations and cleaning removable appliances.
• Helps dentists manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.
• Educates patients by giving oral hygiene and postoperative instructions.
• Documents dental care services by charting in patient records.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Protects patients and staff by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working as a Dental Assistant is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• CPR certification and knowledge of infection-control policies and protocols are required.
