Firefighter/Paramedic

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/Paramedic to join our team at the City of Lansing, MI. As a Firefighter/Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical services, firefighting, and rescue operations in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Respond to emergency calls and provide medical assistance to patients in need.
• Operate firefighting equipment and vehicles, including engines, ladder trucks, and ambulances.
• Participate in fire prevention and education programs to promote public safety.
• Collaborate with other emergency responders, including police and ambulance services, to ensure effective response to emergencies.
• Maintain equipment and vehicles in a clean and operational condition.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Current State of Michigan or National Registry Paramedic license required.
• Firefighter I and II certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and patients.
