Key Responsibilities:

  1. Documentation Development: Create detailed plans, sections, schedules, and specifications for mechanical systems, ensuring precision and clarity throughout the design process.

  4. Compliance Knowledge: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry codes and standards to ensure all designs meet safety and compliance requirements.

  6. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into overall project designs.
  7. Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate technical concepts and project updates to clients, contractors, and team members, fostering strong relationships and project success.
  8. Control Strategy Development: Design effective control strategies for mechanical systems to optimize their performance based on project specifications.
  9. Innovative Design: Apply engineering principles and software tools to develop creative solutions, from initial concepts to detailed designs.
  10. Equipment Evaluation: Assess and select suitable equipment and components for mechanical systems, ensuring efficiency and compatibility.
  11. Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior staff, assisting in their professional development and ensuring high-quality work output.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within the consulting sector.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and HVAC design applications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • US Citizenship is required.
