About the Role

Mediterranean Sandwich Co. is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Sandwich Prep Specialists. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by preparing ingredients and assisting with food preparation tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to provided prep lists to execute assigned duties efficiently.
  • Maintain an organized kitchen environment by labeling and stocking all ingredients for easy accessibility.
  • Accurately measure ingredients according to recipes, ensuring consistency in every dish.
  • Prepare sandwich components by slicing vegetables, cheeses, and other ingredients with precision.
  • Contribute to the creation of our signature sandwiches, salads, and burgers by following established recipes.
  • Uphold high standards of cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Ensure all food items are stored correctly according to safety guidelines.
  • Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned, such as operating the cash register or assisting with dishwashing.

Skills:

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a food service environment is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation practices.
  • Dexterity and proficiency in using cutting tools and kitchen utensils safely.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • A positive attitude and the ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
  • Good physical stamina and endurance to handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
