Job Summary

This position is located in Chinle Service Unit, Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility, Division of Clinical Services, Physical Rehabilitation Department, Audiology Section, Chinle, AZ.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional work requiring the application of knowledge of concepts of Audiology and the integration of such work with other medical and therapeutic services.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a wide range of audiologic services across all patient age ranges.
  • Provides clinical consultative services.
  • Provides professional counseling.
  • Performs comprehensive hearing aid evaluations.
  • Assist with the coordination of the Audiology program.
Requirements
  • Selectee may be subject to a probationary period.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • This is a designated position covered by Public Law, requiring contact or control over Indian children.
  • Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957 and seasonal influenza immunization is required for all staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is required for all selectees prior to entrance on duty.
  • The selected individual is required to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
