Contract Position

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in copper and fiber optic installation and maintenance, including troubleshooting
  • Pre-fielding for Outside Plant and Testing
  • Repairing ADSL, VDSL, POTS, DSL, and bonded copper for IPTV service activations
  • Required: Android device for scheduling
  • Required: Personal vehicle for travel
  • Required: Personal tools for installation and repair tasks

Position Overview:

The role involves traveling within the designated service area for the installation and maintenance of POTS and DSL lines. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting connection tests
  • Measuring broadband speed
  • Assessing the quality of POTS lines and broadband services
  • Ensuring secure and completed installations
  • Executing all phases of installation and maintenance for copper and fiber optic cables
  • Spending a majority of time outdoors troubleshooting, with some time spent in residential or commercial settings for complex installations
  • Discussing service order specifications with clients
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Inspecting equipment and maintaining cabling
  • Utilizing hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment for tasks

Applicants should possess a minimum of one year of experience in the installation, maintenance, and testing of telecommunications services, including proficiency in connecting color-coded wires and troubleshooting technical challenges.
