Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

Responsibilities:
Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
Assist with placement of artificial airways.
Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patient for therapeutic response and notify provider as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

Requirements:
Associate Degree
Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP), or State Registered Respiratory Therapist
American Heart Association BLS health care provider required. ACLS, PALS and NRP within 30 days of hire.
Graduate of Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
