About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant - Unit Coordinator to join our team at Gillette Children's. This is a 0.8 FTE Evening shift position, with shifts of 8 hours and every other weekend. The ideal candidate will have experience as a Nursing Assistant and be able to provide both clerical support and patient care responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical support to the nursing departments, including coordination of communication, transcription of provider orders, and maintenance of unit supplies.
  • Assist professional nurses in meeting basic activity of daily living (ADL) needs of patients, while maintaining an orderly and safe physical environment.
  • Coordinate patient schedules/tests with multiple departments and prioritize tasks to meet patient and unit/department needs.
  • Accurately transcribe provider orders and demonstrate proficiency in job-related software.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association)
  • Physically able to work hours required and safely transport/transfer patients
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant course or currently a student in an accredited Nursing program
