About the Role

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing hemodialysis. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Direct Patient Care: Administer and monitor dialysis treatments, monitor patient vital signs, and document patient information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Ensure Patient Safety: Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures, and reporting any concerns or incidents to the supervisor.
  • Communicate Effectively: Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members, ensuring clear and timely communication of patient information and concerns.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing (LPN, LVN)
  • License: Current appropriate State licensure
  • Experience: One year medical-surgical nursing experience preferred; hemodialysis experience preferred but not required
  • Certifications: Successfully complete a training course in the theory and practice of hemodialysis; CPR Certification
