Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our Southern California team. As a Construction Inspector, you will assist the Resident Engineer in field inspections and office engineering work, ensuring quality workmanship and compliance with client and customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Resident Engineer in field inspections and office engineering work
- Understand client and customer needs
- Operate within customers' safety protocols
- Complete required documentation, including Inspector's Daily Reports
- Perform inspections for quality workmanship, including field measurements
- Monitor construction contractors' quality control operations
- Identify changes, errors, or field adjustments to contract documents
- Monitor Prevailing Wage laws and regulations
Requirements
- Graduation from a four-year curriculum in Landscape Architecture
- Minimum two years of demonstrated experience in Landscape construction inspection
- Experience working with California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures
- Knowledge and experience with Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program and General Permit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Ability to travel to job sites and work extended hours
Compensation and Benefits
Atlas offers a comprehensive benefit program, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits. The expected salary range for this position is $60-$100 hourly, with final compensation based on individual qualifications and experience.
