Role Summary: Teen Challenge Southeast is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to support the daily lives of at-risk adolescent males aged 12-17 in a structured residential environment. This position requires staff to reside on-site in provided accommodations.
The bond established between staff and youth is crucial for fostering communication, enhancing the effectiveness of counseling efforts, and enriching program activities. This role is pivotal in creating a nurturing atmosphere filled with support and acceptance. Direct Care staff will offer guidance, inspiration, and hope to young individuals facing challenges.
Through comprehensive training, including trauma-informed practices, Teen Challenge Southeast aims to equip young men with the skills and resilience needed for a brighter future. If you possess a passion for helping troubled youth and their families, we will supply the necessary training and resources to help you succeed in this mission.
Candidate Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as youth services, psychology, or similar is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right candidate with a genuine commitment to service and relevant experience, such as youth mentoring, camp leadership, or residential care.
- A thorough background check and references from a pastoral or ministerial leader are mandatory.
- Applicants must be at least 21 years old and possess a clean driving record for the last three years.

- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
