Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CT Scan Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing medically prescribed radiographic and CT procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize computerized tomography (CT) scanners to produce cross-section images of patients internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of medical issues.
  • Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the CT scan equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images.
  • Effectively assess patients' information and status, and follow appropriate procedures accordingly.
  • Consult policy and procedure manuals and/or other reference materials as necessary to ensure actions conform to established protocols.
  • Independently implement patient procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Requirements:

  • Certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • New York State license or temporary permit to practice Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
